Hotel Fukudaya Tokyo

The Hotel Fukudaya is a ryokan-style hotel with budget rates and a quiet location. It’s one of the cheaper places near Shibuya.

Hotel
Fukudaya

If you’re looking to save some serious money and still be relatively close to Shibuya, this old-school ryokan-style hotel is a decent choice. It’s about 30 minutes’ walk from Shibuya Station and a little hard to find your first time (a taxi from Shibuya Station is a good way to get there the first time, just print the address out to show the driver).

The hotel is non-descript from the outside. The rooms are Japanese style, with tatami mats and futons. Some have en suite bathrooms. Smoking is allowed in the lobby and the smell can reach the rooms, so people who really dislike smoke should look elsewhere.

The rates here put this place in the budget range, which makes it one of the cheapest accommodations near Shibuya. It’s a decent and slightly offbeat choice.
