Best New Hotels In Tokyo

Several great hotels have opened in Tokyo in the last year. We’re happy to see that laundry facilities and large communal baths are becoming popular. Here are favorite new hotels in Tokyo in all budget categories.
[Royal Park Ginza 6-Chome corner twin]
Royal Park Ginza 6-Chome

Reasonable midrange hotel on edge of Ginza. On the south side of
Ginza, within walking distance of Ginza, Yurakucho and Tokyo Station,
this new upper midrange hotel is a good value. We particularly like the
large common bathing area and laundry machines on the basement floor.
[OMO5 Tokyo Gotanda guest room]

Good value, great views. If you don’t mind being a bit away from the
main centers, the OOMO5 in Gotanda offers competitive rates for clean,
comfortable rooms that offer views across the city. It’s on the loop
line and close to Shinagawa, which offers easy access to Haneda. The
“smart” laundry facilities are good for those on longer trips.
[Hyatt House Tokyo Shibuya “apartment” room]
Hyatt House Tokyo Shibuya
(View on
Booking.com
or
Agoda.com)
Apartment-style rooms near the station. The “House” in the name
refers to the fact that some of the units here have all the things you
appreciate in your own home: cooking and laundry facilities. These are
great for families and those on extended trips. There’s also a gym. It’s
very close to Shibuya Station. Rates in the luxury bracket.
[Onyado Nono Asakusa Bettei guest room]
Onyado Nono Asakusa Bettei

Onsen ryokan-style hotel in Asakusa. If you’d like a Japanese-style
hotel, check out the Onyado Nono in Asakusa. It’s an onsen ryokan-style
hotel, where you remove your shoes when you enter. There are tatami mats
and futons in the rooms and there’s a great “onsen” (actually, large
bathing area). Rates are midrange.
