Located down a quiet alley a hop and a skip from Kannai Station, Masago Saryou is a gorgeous and dignified 2-star kaiseki restaurant serving some truly fabulous kaiseki banquets. It’s all about fine seasonal cooking here. Every dish looks like a painting! You might have a tachiuo fish dumpling topped with sudachi citrus and kelp to evoke the rabbit in the moon, an exquisitely grilled slice of beef from Yamagata topped with freshly grated wasabi and daikon radish, or a soulful dashi-based soup sprinkled with chrysanthemum leaves. A meal here will be one to remember. Reservations are a must.
