Ginza Six

Opened in 2017, GINZA SIX is one of the newest additions to the main shopping avenue in Ginza. Thoroughly modern and sophisticated in design and curation, it’s filled with enough shopping, food and cultural entertainment options to keep you occupied for days.

Did Ginza really need another shopping mall? It turns out the answer is actually yes - GINZA SIX is a place that actually improves the experience of being in Ginza.

The wide range of shops selling bizarrely expensive clothes will come as no surprise to anyone - this is Ginza, after all - but there’s plenty in the way of cultural entertainment to keep most people happy. For example, there’s a Noh theatre on the third basement floor. If you’re lucky, there are occasions when you can pick up tickets for a mere JPY3000 - a bargain for Noh and for Ginza generally.

It has a breathtakingly beautiful reading area, and like all other Tsutaya bookstores of this ilk, you can sit here with a coffee to browse art books and magazines. When hunger strikes, the food hall on the same floor awaits.

With 241 shops and restaurants, a rooftop garden, and even a Noh Theatre within the complex, it is entirely possible to spend a full day - or several - exploring GINZA SIX and not feel bored. If you’re in Ginza, this should be high on your list of malls to visit.
