With various museums and entertainment options geared at younger children, there’s plenty on this manmade island to keep them occupied. A favorite place here is Decks Tokyo Beach, a ship-themed shopping mall.

Decks is designed so that you can pretty much spend most of, if not an entire day, within the complex. For starters, Madame Tussaud’s wax museum has a branch in Tokyo right here, while the Legoland Discovery Center and Tokyo Trick Art Museum are sure to keep adults and children alike entertained for hours. Tokyo Joypolis is a futuristic take on a theme park, and if nothing else, visit for the scream-worthy roller coasters and surreal rides inside. There’s even a haunted house on the 4th floor.

You’ll find many restaurants at Decks, including the world-famous Bills from Sydney, and a branch of Gompachi, which famously made its Hollywood debut in Tarantino’s Kill Bill. For a more interesting meal, you might want to head to the Odaiba Takoyaki Museum, and snack on grilled octopus balls at several of the takoyaki restaurants there.

At night, Decks is a popular place for a romantic date. Many of the bay-facing restaurants have outdoor terraces affording a full view of the Tokyo metropolitan skyline, and the year-round Odaiba illuminations.
