Ujigami Jinja Shrine

Not much too look at, we include this small shrine because UNESCO has decided, in all its wisdom, to designate it a World Heritage Site.

Across the river from Byodo-in, this small shrine is worth a look, especially for those with a historical interest in Shinto or Kyoto history, or for those who simply want to check all the Kyoto UNESCO World Heritage Sites off their list.
