Isetan Department Food Floor Kyoto Station

The two food floors below Isetan Department Store are a wonderland of culinary delights. They’re the best high-end supermarket in the Kyoto Station Area.

The two Isetan Department Food Floors are classic examples of “depachika” (department store food floors). On the B1 floor, you’ll find a huge variety of wagashi (Japanese sweets), food gifts and Western-style confectionary. Even if you don’t intend to buy anything, just browsing here is fun and it’s a great way to kill some time while waiting for a train. On the B2 floor, you’ll find the rest of the usual suspects: fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and a fantastic selection of prepared food (great if you’re staying near Kyoto Station and self-catering).
