While it’s primarily an office building, Marunouchi Building (known as Marubiru for short) has several dedicated floors for shopping and eating. The basement food hall is worth visiting for some high-end food shopping, while the 5th and 6th floors have plenty of good restaurants. But for an extra special dining experience, the restaurants on the 35th and 36th floors are where you should head to.

Most of the restaurants up here are on the decidedly high-end side of the dining spectrum, including a branch of upscale sushi shop Sushiko as well as famed Kanda tempura specialist Tenmasa. They’re special occasion restaurants. The spectacular views also make them great for romantic dates.

If you’re not keen on shelling out for the views, head to the free lounge area on the 35th floor. Some of the view is blocked by the buildings in front, but you’ll be able to see some of the Imperial Palace grounds - and it’s quite pretty on a sunny day.
