The Lively Tokyo Azabujuban
- Tokyo
- 15 Jun, 2025
A short walk south of Roppongi — one of Tokyo’s most happening nightlife districts — the Lively is a beautiful island of style in a quiet area. With great service and an intimate feeling, the Lively feels like it should cost significantly more.

The Lively Tokyo Azabujuban At A Glance
- Great for: couples, solo travelers, flashpackers, families (check out the Loft rooms)
- Strong points: convenient but quiet location, boutique style, reasonable rates
- Sample rates: US$230 to $440
[Loft room]
The Lively is within easy walking distance of Roppongi, which is crammed with great restaurants, bars and attractions like Mori Tower and the National Art Center. But because it’s down in the Azabujuban neighborhood, it’s much quieter than hotels in Roppongi proper. In fact, it’s one of our favorite neighborhoods in Tokyo and you’ll find that casual strolling near the hotel will turn up almost endless cool little shops, cafes and restaurants.
[Double room]
The Lively is pretty much the definition of a boutique hotel. From the entrance to the guest rooms, the hotel is packed with style. You’ll want to chill out with a drink the lounge as soon as you arrive just to soak up the atmosphere.
[Lively entrance]
The rooms range from small twins to awesome loft rooms which are perfect for families. The service is friendly and efficient and the rates are very reasonable considering the style and location. All in all, the Lively is a great choice for those who want to be near all the attractions of Roppongi without having to stay in the heart of the chaos.
