- 15 Jun, 2025
At 325 meters (1067 feet), the Mori JP Tower in the Azabudai Hills complex (near Roppongi) is Japan’s highest skyscraper. The observatory on the upper floors offers amazing views but access is limited.

The Azabudai Hills complex is a glitzy new shopping, entertainment and office district on Azabudai, a hill in the Azabu district of Tokyo (roughly midway between Roppongi and Tokyo Tower). The complex is home to the teamLab Borderless art installation and a high-end shopping and dining center.

For a brief period after the JP Mori Tower opened in April 2023, the Azabudai Hills Sky Lobby on the 33rd and 34th floor was open to the general public. Now, it’s only open to customers of the cafes and restaurants on those floors. At the time of writing, these include: Hills House Azabudai, Dining 33, Sky Room Café & Bar, and Dining 33 Pâtisserie à la Maison.

Even if you cannot get up to the Sky Lobby, you might enjoy a walk around the area at the base, or a quick cuppa at one of the cafes in the dining complex nearby.
