Haneda International Airport Hotels

If you have an early arrival or late departure from Tokyo’s Haneda International Airport, you might want to stay at an airport hotel. We’ve stayed in a lot of them and here are our top picks.

We’re big fans of airport hotels; they allow you to get a good night’s sleep before an early flight, and they allow you to get to sleep as soon as possible after a long international flight. While Tokyo’s Haneda International Airport is a lot closer to downtown Tokyo than Narita, it’s still useful to stay at an airport hotel in many cases. Here are our top picks for Haneda Airport hotels.

Hotels Right at Haneda International Airport

There are two hotels right at the airport: The Excel Tokyu at the domestic terminal and the Royal Park at the international Terminal:

Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyu

(View on Booking.com or Agoda.com)
Located right inside Haneda Airport Terminal 2, this is the most convenient hotel for domestic flights. Rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. It’s an easy walk to security check and domestic flight gates, and quick hop on the airport train to Haneda Airport International Terminal. This is where we stay when we have an early domestic departure from Haneda. Highly recommended.

The Royal Park Hotel Tokyo Haneda

(View on Booking.com or Agoda.com)
Located directly beside Haneda Airport International Terminal, this is the best choice for Haneda international flights (and it’s an easy hop on the airport train to the domestic terminal). It’s a smart Japanese business hotel that’s perfectly adequate for a night before or after a flight. Rates are fairly reasonable for an airport hotel.

Hotels Near Haneda International Airport

There are several hotels in the neighborhood directly across the bridge from Haneda Airport. They all offer free airport shuttles. Those that are close to Anamori-Inari Station also allow you to catch the airport train for the quick hop to the airport. Here are our two picks in this neighborhood:

Hotel Mystays Haneda

(View on Booking.com or Agoda.com)
A short shuttle ride from Haneda, this basic hotel offers cheap rates and decent rooms. There are a few shops and restaurants nearby and the hotel has a decent on-site restaurant. This is your best bet if your finances don’t cover the hotels right at the airport.

The Keikyu EX Hotel is a convenient hotel very close to the airport. It’s a good business hotel with comfortable rooms and reasonable rates. The hotel is a short walk from Anamori-Inari Station, which is on the Keikyu Line that runs directly to Haneda Airport (it’s a 6-minute train ride).

Tokyo Hotels Convenient to Haneda International Airport

Haneda International Airport is actually quite close to the south side of downtown Tokyo. If you’re staying in the Tokyo Station Area, Ginza, Shimbashi, Shiodome, Hamamatsucho or Shinagawa, you can easily just take a taxi to the airport (but take rush hour traffic into consideration). If you want to take the train to Haneda, your best choice is to stay in Shinagawa, where you can catch the Keikyu express train direct to Haneda Airport. Here are two good hotels in Shinagawa:

The Strings by Intercontinental, Tokyo

(View on Booking.com or Agoda.com)
Located in Shinagawa, a short walk from Keikyu Shinagawa Station with its easy access to Haneda, this is an international class hotel with comfortable rooms, great facilities and some superb views over Tokyo and Tokyo Bay. If you want some real comfort on your first or last night in the country, this is your best bet.

Keikyu EX Hotel Shinagawa
