APA Hotel Shinjuku-Kabukicho Tower At A Glance
- Great for: solo travelers, couples, partyers
- Strong points: Kabukicho (Shinjuku) location, low rates, efficient
- Sample rates: US$80 to $190
[APA Hotel guest room]
The APA chain is famous (or infamous) in Japan for ultra-low room rates and nationalistic propaganda hidden in bed tables. This one is a good example of the chain. Rooms frequently duck below US$100 per night for a small but acceptable room. It’s just steps from the front door to myriad places to eat and drink. Just be warned that it’s in Kabukicho, which can be a bit sleazy and dodgy.
[APA Hotel spa]
There’s a large bathing area/spa (daiyokujo) in the hotel, in addition to en suite bathrooms in every room.
[Kabukicho at night]
Given the proximity to Shinjuku Station and Kabukicho, as well as the rock-bottom rates, the APA Hotel Shinuku-Kabukicho Tower is a fine chose for those who really just want a place to sleep it off after a night in the many bars and clubs of Shinjuku.
