The Aoyama Grand Hotel
- Tokyo
- 15 Jun, 2025
We love the Aoyama Grand. It’s a beautiful and stylish hotel in an uncrowded but convenient part of Tokyo. It’s the perfect spot for those looking to escape the seething hubs of Shinjuku and Shibuya.
[Superior Queen with City View]
The Aoyama Grand Hotel At A Glance
- Great for: couples, solo travelers
- Strong points: boutique style, great service, away from crowds but convenient
- Sample rates: US$440 to $880
[Aoyama Grand entrance]
Aoyama is one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Tokyo: It’s packed with fashionable restaurants and shops. And, it’s relatively free from the crowds that plague other areas of the city. But, it’s far from inconvenient: you can walk to Shibuya, Roppongi and Harajuku within 20 or 30 minutes. And, the hotel is very close to Gaien-mae Station the Ginza Subway Line, which gives quick access to Shibuya, Asakusa and Nihombashi etc. So, really, you get the best of both worlds: convenience and calm.
[Rooftop bar/lounge]
The hotel is on the small side and it’s got heaps of great boutique style. And, as befitting a boutique hotel, the service is warm, intimate and efficient. You’ll really appreciate coming home to this hotel every evening.
[Deluxe Twin with City View]
For those who can afford it (the rates hover between the mid- and the upper-range), the Aoyama Grand is an amazing choice for those who prefer something other than famous international hotel brands.
