The Ritz Carlton Osaka

Located around 750 metres southwest of JR Osaka Station, the Ritz-Carlton is an ultra-luxe hotel that’s worthy of the brand name.

The Ritz-Carlton
Osaka

The Ritz-Carlton Osaka is fine example of the Ritz brand: It’s luxurious, exclusive and serene. The classic, posh, old-world decor is what you expect of the hotel, too. The service here is great, with staff consistently going the extra mile for guests.

Rooms at the Ritz Osaka are reasonably spacious, with stunning views from them. That being said, guests who have stayed at both will find that the rooms at the Ritz in Tokyo are slightly larger. Bathrooms are suitably large for a luxury hotel of this caliber, and there’s even a separate powder room. The plush bath towels and comfortable beds deserve special mention, too.

The Ritz-Carlton
Osaka

There are all the facilities you’d expect, including a Michelin-starred French restaurant, a hotel bakery, a bar, an Italian restaurant, a well-equipped gym, and beautiful swimming pool. Guests staying in the Club rooms will have access to the exclusive Club Lounge, where both food and service are impeccable!

The Ritz in Osaka is not perfect. It’s just a little far from the nearest station - approximately 750 metres - so a taxi here will save you dragging your luggage in. Breakfast here is, oddly enough, not quite on par with what you get at other branches of the Ritz. (Though by most standards it’s decent.) And, even if you’re a hotel guest, you will have to pay the cover charge if you visit the bar on the 5th floor. But these are small niggles in what will be an otherwise comfortable stay.

The Ritz is consistently more expensive than other luxury hotels in Osaka. You have to think carefully whether the luxury of the Ritz merits prices that might double those of other luxury hotels in the city. If you can stay on points, then it’s a no brainer, of course.
