This dimly lit bar is a popular hangout spot with Japanese locals and expatriates alike. They have a selection of 50+ beers from all over the world , and happy hour is the best time to go for discounts on food and drinks. The food here is simple pub grub. Think classic dishes like burgers and fries or fish and chips. They’re solidly executed and are fantastic if you’re craving non-Japanese fare.

The English-speaking staff at Captain Kangaroo are an affable bunch, happy to help with any recommendations and questions you might have about the city. In the evenings, the atmosphere is lively and it’s a great place to strike up some conversations. You’ll probably end up making a friend or two!
