There are few experiences that make you love a city more than looking at it from above. A great place to enjoy a view of Osaka is Bar 19, located on the top floor of the Marriott Hotel a short 3-minute walk north of Shin-Osaka Station.

Here, you’ll find a brightly-lit lounge and bar serving up very decent cocktails. There are other places in the city to enjoy daytime views, and Bar 19 is probably at its best in the evenings. Come here to watch the sunset, enjoy live music in the evenings, and enjoy the romantic aurora-inspired lighting at night.

It’s a rooftop bar at one of the city’s swankiest hotel chains, so expect the drinks and finger food to be priced accordingly. There’s also a cover charge for live music in the evenings. Still, Bar 19 is worth a visit if you like hanging out at rooftop bars.
