Hotel Sunlite Shinjuku Tokyo

The Hotel Sunlight Shinjuku is a good business hotel in East Shinjuku that offers some of the lowest hotel rates in Shinjuku.

Hotel Sunlite
Shinjuku

Yes, it’s a bit of a hike to/from Shinjuku Station all the way out in East Shinjuku (about 10 or 15 minutes’ walk to Shinjuku Station) but it’s very close to two subway stations: Higashi Shinjuku and Shinjuku Sanchome. Thus, it’s not particularly inconvenient and there are hundreds of good restaurants and bars nearby.

The Hotel Sunlite Shinjuku is a standard business hotel that is divided into two parts. The main building has recently been renovated and it’s very nice: rooms are small but clean and efficient. The annex has not been renovated yet and it’s a little long in the tooth. If I were you, I’d suggest requesting a room in the main building (and perhaps not stay there if they won’t give it to you).

With rates that place the hotel in the budget category, this is one of the cheapest proper hotels (as opposed to capsule hotels) in Shinjuku. It’s a great deal for someone looking for a good, cheap hotel in bustling Shinjuku.
