JR Fuji Excursion Train Guide And Map

Running between Tokyo’s Shinjuku Station and Kawaguchiko, which is at the base of Mt Fuji, this is the most comfortable and stylish way to get to the base of the mountain.

Running three times daily between Tokyo’s Shinjuku Station and Kawaguchiko, which is at the base of Mt Fuji, this is the most comfortable and stylish way to get to the base of the mountain. Best of all, it’s timed so that you can take the morning train out, do some exploring around Kawaguchiko and enjoy the views of Mt Fuji and then hop the last train home the same day.

For those who want a quick look at the symbol of Japan and want to do it in style, the Mt Fuji excursion is the way to go. And, since it’s JR, tickets are a breeze to get. And if you want to get them in advance, just buy them from Klook.

Schedules

  • Trains depart Shinjuku Station daily at 7.30am, 8.30am and 9.30am and arrive at Kawaguchiko (near Mt Fuji) 1 hour and 55 minutes later.
  • Trains depart Kawaguchiko daily at 3.03pm, 4.51pm and 5.36pm and arrive at Shinjuku Station 1 hour and 55 minutes later.
  • On weekends and holidays, in addition to the above schedule, a Fuji Excursion departs Shinjuku at 11.13am and arrives at Kawaguchiko at 1:09pm. In the opposite direction, it departs Kawaguchiko at 3.58pm and arrives at Shinjuku at 5.59pm.

Tickets and Reservations

  • You can buy individual tickets via Klook.
