We rarely come across hotels with this much local style. This branch of the amazing Nipponia Hotels chain is located right in Naramachi, which is the preserved district just south of downtown. It’s within easy walking distance to the sights of Nara-koen Park.

The rooms here are large by Japanese standards and well kitted out with everything you need. Some of them have high ceilings with huge, exposed beams. All of them have great traditional style and the overall effect of the hotel might be described as “boutique traditional.”
