Fuji Tv

The Fuji Television Headquarters in Odaiba is best known for its strange orb suspended in between the upper floors of the building. Go only if you’re keen on a panoramic view of Tokyo Bay and the surrounding area.

The Fuji Television headquarters is probably best known as that strange, futuristic building with the huge orb you spotted from a distance while riding the monorail through Odaiba.

The orb structure is actually an observation deck on the 25th floor of the Kenzo Tange-designed Fuji Television building, from which you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Tokyo Bay and the surrounding Odaiba area.

Otherwise, there’s little else of interest to visitors in the building. There are souvenir shops on the seventh floor and a few TV sets and props on the fifth floor, which may not be very relevant unless you watch Japanese TV programs.

Is this place worth visiting? Perhaps, but only if you’re a fan of Fuji TV productions or are really keen on the panoramic view from the orb. Otherwise, gawking at the building from a distance is probably as much as you need to do.
