With room rates that can dip below US$100 in quiet seasons, the Cordia is, first and foremost, a tremendous bargain. At rates like these, you pretty much give up on any style, comfort or service, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the Cordia: It’s pretty nice looking, the rooms are small but comfortable enough, and the staff work hard to please.

We really like the Honmachi location of the Cordia. Honmachi is the district that lies between the all-important Kita (north) and Minami (south) districts. This means you can walk to most of the important spots in Osaka, as well as a nearly infinite number of shops and restaurants. It would even be possible to walk to Osaka Castle on a cool day.

So, if you’re trying to save your money for fun and food and just need a comfortable and convenient place to stay, the Cordia is highly recommended!
