We’ve always liked Dojima: It’s close to the main stations in Kita, it’s filled with good restaurants, it’s near the river and it’s a short walk to the Midosuji Line, which will whisk you down to Shinsaibashi and Namba for evening fun. Plus, Dojima is home to the Junkudo, the best bookstore in Osaka.

You may already know the Aloft chain, which is a brand of Marriot. It’s a design-centric brand with cool common areas and good bars and lounges. The Dojima Aloft is typical of the brand and it’s a good place for those who like a bit of style with their digs.
